Scholarship Awards
The Mesquite Community Education Foundation or MCEF was founded more than a decade ago by Darlene Nelson. She wanted to help students attain skills and degrees in higher education. The MCEF has many generous donors and holds a spring fundraiser each year to provide our VVHS graduates with many scholarships. This year we are happy to provide over 20 scholarships to the following students.
1 – $5,000 Oliver West
2 – $2,500 McKadie Cowley and Andrew Cox
20 – $1,000 recipients

WHAT WE DO…
* Provide funding and support in the form of scholarships for worthy candidates.
* Review scholarship applications and facilitate disbursals for VVHS graduates based on needs and qualifications.
* Organize numerous annual fund raising events (Fall Hoedown, Spring Fling etc.)
* Solicit support from beneficent local merchants and individuals.
* Volunteer at local events to raise money.
* Give of our time and resources to boost local student scholarship funding.
